This is a brief Frequently Asked Questions section for BC's users.  Many new features have been added to the site.  This is just a small explanation of the common questions asked:

1.  Do I have to sign up for the site, and will I receive junk mail if I do?  Yes, you must register with the site if you want access to special features and media.  The only feature available without registration is the guestbook.  If you register with the site, you will receive an activation email.  Other than that, the only time you will receive email from Brigid's Cross is if you subscribe to the BC newsletter.  Only in special circumstances where all users must be notified will a broadcast email be issued.

2.  I registered, but the site is still blocking me!  Help!  Many email providers have spam filters that put the registration confirmation email in a special junk folder.  In order to complete registration, you must click the link that is sent in the email to confirm your account.  If you do not see the registration confirmation in your main email folder, check the spam / junk folder to make sure it did not inadvertently get bypassed.  If you are still experiencing trouble registering with the site, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   for more assistance.  Also, following registration, it may be necessary to clear the temporary internet files cache to be able to see all the new features.  Please feel free to email the webmaster for help with this process if necessary.

3.  What kind of software do I need to access special features?  The most common elements that should be up to date on your computer are Flash and Windows Media Player, both of which are free to download.  Simply click the aforementioned links to get the downloads for them.  Take note - if you already have the latest version of these, there is no need to download an update.

4.  Is it okay for kids to view the site, and what if I find something objectionable?  Brigid's Cross makes a concerted effort to ensure its website is acceptable for viewers of all ages.  However, it's always possible that something can slip through from time to time in one of the sections.  It's unfortunate, but it does happen despite the best efforts.  In the event that something improper has been entered on the site, please notify us immediately by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  The material will be reviewed and removed as soon as possible if deemed inappropriate.

5.  Are the chat room and message boards monitored?  Designated moderators have been selected to check these features on a regular basis.  Inappropriate material and behavior should be brought to the attention of either the moderator for that area or the site administrator by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

6.  How often is the site updated?  Thanks to the nifty little features in Joomla, BC is able to update the site as news becomes available!  So, check back often!

7.  I have digital pictures or other types of media to contribute to the site.  Where do I send it?  Please email the site administrator at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   with information concerning the material.  At this time, there is no method of public access uploading in place.  This should change in the future, but until it does, contact the site administrator for further instructions on contributing to the BC gallery!

8.  Seriously - does Brigid's Cross actually visit this site? - Absolutely!  One of the most approachable bands in the business, BC maintains a close relationship with the friends it makes along the way.  Paul, Peg and Richie are regularly on the site, checking the boards, mail and chat room to see what's up with the Faithful!
